PR Manager, Consumer
- The GeForce consumer market in Korea ranks as the largest in Asia after China. Even when combining the revenues of all other Asian countries (excluding China), their total revenue remains less than Korea's market revenue. As an individual market, Korea stands third in size and importance globally, following China and the United States.
- Understanding and highlighting Koreans' deep interest in IT, along with their tendencies as early adopters, is essential for successful engagement in this market.
Key Responsibilities of NVIDIA's Consumer PR
1. Consumer Media Relations and Outreach
- Press Release / Media alert
- Blog localization and local content development
- Korea Social media contents develop and reviewing with DMO and tech marketing
- Proactive Media Engagement - Ongoing, daily job
- Press Material Preparation & Localization : distribute press releases, media kits, and product announcements for launches or major milestones.
- Pitching Stories: Identify newsworthy angles and pitch stories that align NVIDIA’s products and innovations with consumer trends and media interests
- GeForce Tech, Product media update and training
- Review seeding & support
- New product GTM including media reviews, press briefings, and influences meet-up.
- Working with Influencers: Collaborate with content creators, YouTubers, and gaming influencers who are relevant to NVIDIA’s consumer base to promote products through authentic and engaging partnerships.
- Campaign Amplification via Influencers: Help identify influencers who can help amplify product launches and campaigns, providing them with assets, review units, or behind-the-scenes access to create buzz.
- Monitor Media Coverage: Track coverage of NVIDIA products in the media and report to HQ team
- Analyze Campaign Performance: Provide analysis on media engagement, influencer impact, and overall consumer perception, offering recommendations for future strategies.
- Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work closely with Korea sales teams to ensure PR efforts align with overall business objectives.
- Feedback Loop: Serve as a bridge between media and internal teams, ensuring that external feedback (from journalists or influencers) is communicated internally for product improvement or future messaging.
** Requirement
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in consumer-focused PR, ideally within the tech or IT industry.
- Strong relationships with consumer tech journalists, bloggers, and influencers.
- Proven experience in media pitching, press release writing, and securing coverage in mainstream and tech-focused outlets.
- Ability to identify PR opportunities and develop media outreach strategies to promote new products or company updates.
- Excellent communication skills both orally and in writing + great interpersonal skills
- Previous experience + In-depth knowledge in IT & gaming industry
- The ability to prioritize and plan effectively to achieve target objective
- Social media & community management experience
