Traveloka Korea is seeking a Localization Specialist Intern to play a key role in expanding Traveloka’s presence in South Korea. In this role, you’ll directly contribute to our market entry efforts by ensuring that our product is fully localized for Korean users both linguistically and in terms of user experience.
This unique opportunity offers hands-on experience in the fast-growing travel technology industry. You’ll work closely with product, engineering, design, and other cross-functional teams across our Southeast Asia operations, gaining invaluable insights into global product launches and localized user experiences.
- Key Responsibilities
As a Localization Specialist Intern, your key responsibilities will include:
a. UI String Linguistic Review & Quality Assurance
Lead and audit the localization of UI elements across Traveloka platforms (desktop web, mobile web, iOS, and Android) to ensure linguistic accuracy, and cultural relevance.
b. UI/UX Localization Support
Provide cultural and linguistic insights to ensure a seamless and intuitive user experience for the Korean market.
c. Localization Performance Analysis
Monitor key metrics such as Korean website traffic and conversion rates. Based on your analysis, propose and support localization improvements to enhance user engagement and efficiency.

- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Media Communications, English language & Translation, or a related field from a reputable university.
- Native-level proficiency in Korean and excellent communication skills in English (both written and verbal). *Please submit certified English test scores such as TOEIC or OPIc.
- Demonstrate ability to proactively collaborate with cross-geography and cross-functional teams, and stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent time and project management skills; able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Previous internship or freelance experience in localization or content review is a plus.
- Background in or strong interest in the travel industry, digital platforms, or e-commerce.
