업무내용
Based in Seoul, The Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) is an intergovernmental organization founded to support and promote a model of economic growth known as "green growth", which targets key aspects of economic performance such a poverty reduction, job creation, social inclusion, and environmental sustainability. GGGI works with countries around the world, building their capacity and working collaboratively on green growth policies that can impact the lives of millions. The organization partners with countries, multilateral institutions, government bodies, and private sector to help build economies that grow strongly and are more efficient and sustainable in the use of natural resources, less carbon intensive, and more resilient to climate change.

The Climate Action and Inclusive Development (CAID) Department plays a critical part in supporting GGGI’s global, regional, and country-level programs and projects by:

- developing long-term low-emission development strategies (LT-LEDS),

- strengthening measurement, reporting and verification (MRV) analysis and guidelines, including capacity building,

- supporting NDC revisions through defining or updating quantified mitigation and/or adaptation targets; enhancing scope of NDC to cover a greater part of the economy/society; including and assessing macroeconomic impacts of climate action and socio-economic co-benefits,

- applying tools to integrate poverty reduction and gender equality into climate and green growth planning and investments to enhance prosperity and welfare,
measuring the Green Growth Index performance to support policy planning,

- providing technical services related to Environmental and Social Safeguards in order to meet investor and financier requirements; and

- producing GGGI’s flagship and strategic knowledge products.

Co-hosted in GGGI (Seoul) and UNEP (Geneva), the Green Growth Knowledge Partnership (www.greengrowthknowledge.org) was launched in January 2014 to support a global partnership of over 60 leading international organizations, research institutes and think tanks focused on:

Collaboratively identifying knowledge gaps in green growth theory and practice;
